Terms of Service

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by AbanosCV (abanoscv.com). Contact: privacy@abanoscv.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide.

3. Accounts

• Keep your password confidential and notify us of unauthorized use.
• You must verify your email to activate certain features.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, violate these Terms, or create security risk.

4. The Service

AbanosCV helps you audit CVs, match to public job listings, draft tailored materials, and track applications. Features may change as we improve the product. Free and paid plans (if offered) may differ in limits.

• No auto-apply: we do not submit applications to employers without your explicit consent actions in the product (review + consent checkboxes). Default path is download/copy and open the employer link yourself.
• AI output: suggestions are assistive. You must review every CV change and cover letter. Do not represent invented experience as true.
• Job data: listings come from third-party sources; we do not guarantee openings remain open or that employers will respond.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of your CV and other content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you (including sending necessary snippets to AI processors under contract).

You represent that you have the rights to upload Your Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights or contain unlawful material.

6. Acceptable use

• No scraping, attacking, or reverse-engineering the Service beyond lawful interoperability rights.
• No using the Service to spam employers or misrepresent identity or qualifications.
• No uploading malware or attempting to bypass rate limits or security controls.

7. Privacy and cookies

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Essential cookies are required; optional cookies need your consent. See Privacy and Cookies.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AbanosCV and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or opportunities. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for death/personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion via privacy@abanoscv.com. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, IP) will survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where consent is legally required.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise. Courts in Berlin, Germany shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer venue rights.
